Job Description

Newmont Ghana Gold Limited a subsidiary of Newmont Mining Corporation, one of the World's largest gold mining companies.

The successful candidate will report to the Exploration Manager and provide technical support and leadership of projects in the mining, development or exploration programs

* Conduct and recommend complex geological studies through effective testing of defined targets and the modification of work programs in response to changing results and conditions
* Evaluate mineral deposits and prospective areas by reviewing and interpreting geological data and providing balanced recommendations about future potential of the project
* Supervise and participate in the collection and interrogation of a range of exploration, safety, environmental and land management data types
* Collect and record accurate geologic and geochemical data
* Recognize valid exploration targets and recommend efficient drill plans and budgets for testing
Qualifications
